The film starring Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, and Vaani Kapoor, is a spy thriller. The film Bell Bottom, anchored in the eighties, is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and is written by Parvez Sheikh and Aseem Arora. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani, the film is presented by Pooja Entertainment in association with Emmay Entertainment. The date set for the premiere of the film is 2 April 2021.

The shooting gave work to at least 400 technicians in a time when everyone was struggling. The movie set new norms of shooting by using a workforce of only 33% and bringing constraints to the old normals when shooting revolved a big team, thus adding social distancing measures. The film began on 20 August 2020 and announced wrap-up on 30 September 2020. The film is also proof that if safety measures are taken with all honesty, the world could be put on resume again.
